Universal Pure, a Villa Rica, Georgia-based food processing and cold storage firm with a facility in south Lincoln, is working to broaden its footprint, first in North America and then around the world in three to five years.
A crucial step in positioning the firm for growth was changing its name in late September from Universal Pasteurization and Universal Cold Storage to Universal Pure.
“We’re looking at double-digit growth each year for the next five to 10 years, driven by this technology which focuses on food safety, cleaner labels and shelf life extension,” CEO Mark A. Duffy said.
