Across our operations, strategic partnerships, and industry engagement, 2025 reinforced Universal Pure’s role as a trusted leader in high pressure processing (HPP), value-added services (VAS), and cold-chain solutions, helping our customers navigate an increasingly complex food safety landscape while positioning for long-term growth.
Investing in Growth & Capability
Two milestones stood out as defining moments for our business this year.

First, we proudly welcomed Dora’s Naturals HPP customers into the Universal Pure family. This acquisition expanded our HPP capacity within our Malvern Pennsylvania facility during the first quarter of 2025, while strengthening our ability to serve customers within the Northeast market. Dora’s long-standing reputation and operational expertise align seamlessly with our mission of helping create a safer, higher quality food system.
Second, we continued investing in capacity and resilience with the addition of a new Hiperbaric HPP 525L machine at our Malvern, Pennsylvania facility in December. This investment not only increases our processing capability and provides additional redundancy but also reinforces our commitment to supporting customer growth across key HPP categories, both today and well into the future.
These investments build on a foundation of operational excellence that has consistently been recognized across the industry, including being named a Food Logistics “2025 Top Cold Storage and 3PL Provider.” This is a direct reflection of the reliability, service, and trust our customers expect from Universal Pure.
Leading the Conversation on Food Safety & HPP
In 2025, food safety remained front and center for the entire industry. High-profile recalls, evolving regulatory expectations, and heightened consumer awareness continued to challenge brands across categories, from proteins and deli to beverages, dips, dairy, and pet food.

Against this backdrop, Universal Pure took an active role in supporting food safety education and best practices across the industry.
- We partnered with the International Dairy, Deli, and Bakery Association (IDDBA) to host an HPP-focused webinar, helping retailers and manufacturers better understand how HPP supports food safety, clean labels, and shelf-life extension.
- Our team shared practical guidance on HPP outsourcing and what brands should consider when preparing products for processing at PACK Expo and the Cold Pressure Council conference.
- We also engaged directly with customers and prospects by exhibiting at the IDDBA and Private Label Manufacturers Association (PLMA) shows, creating opportunities for hands-on education, real-world application discussions, and category-specific HPP conversations.
- We also shared original resources and perspectives with the industry, including Protecting the Good: Meeting the New FDA “Healthy” Standard with HPP, exploring how HPP can support evolving FDA guidance while helping brands maintain product integrity, transparency, and trust.
Across each of these platforms, the message was consistent: HPP is not just a technology – it’s a strategic tool for protecting brands, consumers, and the food system as a whole.
Industry Trends We Saw in 2025
Several trends shaped customer conversations throughout the year:
- Elevated food safety expectations from retailers, regulators, and consumers alike
- Continued growth of HPP-adjacent categories, including refrigerated dips & wet salads, ready-to-eat proteins, beverages, fresh pet food, and specialty dairy
- A shift away from restrictive marketing claims, with greater focus on quality, transparency, and trust
- Operational resilience and redundancy becoming critical decision factors for brand partners
These trends reaffirm why HPP, and trusted cold-chain partners like Universal Pure, are more important than ever.
Looking Ahead to 2026
As we turn toward 2026, we do so with optimism and purpose.
The coming year will mark an important milestone for Universal Pure – 25 years in the cold-chain and food safety industry and 15 years of expertise in HPP. While we’ll be sharing much more about that journey in the months ahead, what matters most is how we carry that legacy forward by continuing to invest, innovate, and partner with customers to meet the evolving needs of the food industry.
Thank you to our customers, partners, and team members for making 2025 a year of momentum. We’re excited for what’s next, and we’re just getting started.
