Meriden, Connecticut Facility

Leading Northeast Co-Packer and HPP Service Provider

Universal Pure is a trusted Northeast co-packer and provider of High Pressure Processing. We work with national brands to support their food safety initiatives through HPP solutions, cold storage, beverage co-packing, and other cold chain related services. If you are looking for beverage co-packing solutions, including High Pressure Processing in the Northeast US, we can develop a custom integrated solution to fit your needs.

Universal Pure has been around since 2001, and has grown to be the largest independent provider of HPP globally. Our Meriden, CT facility enables our suite of integrated value-added services, as well as co-packing and HPP from the East Coast to the West Coast.

We use high-volume, rotary filling technology to co-pack juice and beverage products for commercial scale production. As a result, our bottling lines have a capacity to produce 50 million+ bottles per year. Premium beverage brands can trust our team to manage the entire process. Because we combine High Pressure Processing (HPP) with our beverage bottling, our services work well with premium juice blends, cold brews, teas and other functional beverages.

What is HPP?

High Pressure Processing (HPP) is a unique food preservation method that utilizes cold water and high pressure (up to 87,000 psi) to ready-to-cook (RTC) and ready-to-eat (RTE) proteins free of pathogens without compromising flavor.

We’ll Help You Work Smarter Not Harder

At Universal Pure, our goal is to help streamline your processes for a safe and reliable cold supply chain. So we have created a strategic network of facilities and industry partners that fit into existing cold supply chains. In addition to our geographical benefits, our HPP services help eliminate food waste while improving freshness and shelf life, which increases distribution range and enterprise value. It’s a win-win for everyone!

HPP Product Applications

As HPP gains popularity, the variety of product categories continues to grow. Manufacturers and retailers are becoming familiar with the technology, and as consumer preferences demand it, it will continue to gain momentum.
